Travel requirements
Return or Onward Ticket
Visitors must also have an onward or return ticket to travel to the destination.
Valid Passport
Persons entering Trinidad must have a valid passport (valid for six months after the date of their departure) from their country of citizenship.
Visa Not Required
Visas are not required for most countries unless you plan to stay longer than 90-days.

Temperature
Trinidad has a warm and sunny climate, with an average daily temperature of 31.3°C (85°F) and evening temperatures dipping to 22.7°C (75°F).
Seasons
There are two main seasons: the dry season (January to May) and the rainy season (June to December), with sunny mornings and early afternoon showers during the rainy season.
Hurricane Safe
The island is located outside the hurricane belt, making it a safe haven for yacht owners in the region.
Aquatic Activities
The water temperature ranges from 24-29°C (75-82°F) year-round, encouraging activities like surfing, diving, sport fishing, kite surfing, and paddle boarding.
What to wear
Recommended Clothing
Wear comfortable, light cotton clothing suitable for the year-round temperatures averaging between 22.7 to 31.3°C (75-92°F).
Evening and Tour Attire
Long-sleeved shirts and long trousers are recommended for protection against mosquitoes during mangrove and rainforest tours, and elegantly casual attire is typically required for evening dining with dress codes in effect.
Clothing Restrictions
Military camouflage or camouflage clothing is illegal and reserved for military forces, and public nudity is prohibited.
Our currency
Local Currency
The Trinidad and Tobago dollar (TT$) is the official currency. US dollars are widely accepted at an approximate rate of TT$6.8 to US$1. Rate information can be found at local banks or in daily newspapers.
Accepted Currencies and Cards
Euros and Pound Sterling (GBP) are not as widely accepted as US dollars. International credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and malls, but travellers’ cheques are not accepted.
ATM and Bank Fees
ATMs are widely available, but bank fees will apply.
Taxes
The applicable taxes are 12.5% Value Added Tax (VAT), 10% hotel taxes, and a 10% service charge.
